As a result of new enhancements to EBSCONET and customer interest in the more comprehensive use of this complimentary subscription management tool, we will be running some training sessions for government and special libraries, on Tuesday 3rd September hosted by LIANZA's SLIS at Te Papa’s library Reading Room in Wellington.

As well as EBSCONET and a brief session on the use and benefits of GOBI, the one-stop-shop acquisition and collection development platform for acquiring print and eBooks, Steve Lowe will conduct a brief session on Saas updates.

We welcome you to join the New Zealand team, our EBSCONET trainer Amina Itani and the Te Papa team who are kindly hosting these sessions in their Reading Room.  Within the next 2 weeks, we will be sending out full details of the events, and a questionnaire that will assist us in determining the level of training required and other general questions that will ensure the delivery and content is both relevant and useful.  We propose two sessions – a novice user and intermediate user session for EBSCONET and a general informational session for GOBI  and Saas updates attached to each session.

To register your interest and receive further information, can you please RSVP to martinl@tepapa.govt.nz.
