Libraries Aotearoa started with the germ of an idea in 2012 when the LIANZA (Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa) began work to strengthen the library and information profession in New Zealand. Originally dubbed #BrandLibraries the goal of the project was to create an attitudinal shift to libraries within New Zealand. No-one, least of all the profession, thought a cohesive brand encompassing the entire profession was possible, but we've done it! We're now collaborating to take this project to the next level.
